10 Successful People Who Don’t Sleep Much Ever wondered how many hours of sleep successful people get every night in order to have the level of success they now enjoy? It’s been long stated that on average, humans need 8 hours of sleep in order to function effectively the next day. Well, for those eager to start the day and get ahead of the competition, 8 hours of rest is considered too much for them! 1 | Barack Obama He is the 44th and current President of the United States. Interviews with the man say he stays up until 1:00 a.m and wakes up at 7:00 a.m. Other days, he is less fortunate to get his 6 hours of sleep due to unexpected, sudden crisis in the middle of the night that requires the President’s attention. 2 | Marissa Mayer CEO of Yahoo, Mayer is a savvy woman who understands the importance of working hard and besting the competition. Reports say that she sleeps as little as 4 to 6 hours on any given night. She supplements her sleeping habits with a nice relaxing vacation every 4 months that recharges her batteries. On some weeks, she may work as much as 130 hours, which leaves only 38 hours of sleep or roughly 5 and a half hours of sleep per day. 3 | Jack Dorsey .Jack is the founder of Twitter and Square CEO. Having to maintain two companies at the same time leaves him with many restless nights. He is the host of ‘The Tonight Show’. On top of being a host, Jay Leno tours the comedy circuit to average over 150 gigs a year. And the list goes on… When every minute can be spent to ensure a brighter future, why waste that time sleeping? There is nothing productive about sleeping any more than 8 hours a day. And on some days, you might have to sleep 6 hours, or even 4! On some nights, you may have to avoid sleep completely, because that’s the price you must pay when you want to succeed as bad as you want to breathe!
