When Daybreak correspondent Dan Atayi Edoache asked him if he would be able to come out victorious on the senatorial seat against David Mark, judging his Party is a minority Party plus the fact that most aspirants even from the rulling Peoples Democratic Party stepped down for David Mark in full respect to his personality: the activist Barrister had this to say: I dont think is respect that people are giving to David Mark!It is out of timidity and cowardice due to the fact that they have been manipulating election results in his favour all these years since 1999 that democracy re-started in Nigeria; people felt they would just be wasting their Money and time, as they believe he would still manipulate electoral results to win, but my case is different he said I know exactly how to defeat David Mark very brutally in this forth-coming election, the maximum vote he might score might be....in fact is Five Hundred (500) votes. If he scores Five Hundred and One (501) votes, I will sponsor his thanksgiving Mass the very following Sunday in any of the cathedral of his choice here in Otukpo, u understand! If he scale on the 500 votes to 501, he would still have lost the election and I shall gladly celebrate that he struggled to get above 500 votes here. And if he doesnt like the idea, I will organise the Thanksgiving on his behalf he said. Let me give credit and extend that period earlier, when David Mark was Chairman of abandon properties in Port Harcourt as a young Major in the Military, he did nothing for Idoma people; then he became the Minister of communication, he did nothing; he became Governor of Niger State, he still did nothing; he was member of Supreme Military council, he still did nothing!and then in all of this prominent rolls this man was involved in almost since he was born, he did nothing for the Idoma people or anybody in zone C including the Ezas and Izis who are Igbos but are now part of zone c and are totally forgotten in our Land where they have become indigenous, very many of them, these are forgotten indigenous people in Idoma land, you get the point I know about this people and I ve built a structure that would incocate these people when I become Senator representing Benue South from the 14th of February 2015 after the election. I will never recycle promises like David Mark who gives promises of Apa State creation with the last drop of his blood every time election draws closely. He has used this creation of Apa State as a cajole from the past 16 Years now, you get the point. Far ahead of this campaign, I develop a blueprint for the Idoma nation which is online at okaleya.org, they things I intend to achieve in the areas of Healthcare, employment generation, industrialisation of the entire Idoma nation, provision of rural infrastructures and amenities. People say am making empty promises because I ve not gone there, and that I might be worst oblivious of the fact that the job of a law maker is to make laws. But the job of a law maker is not only to make laws as every law maker has what we call constituency allowance for developing. Your rural communities; as of the last time I know the amounts, every House of Representatives receives Fourty Five Million Naira (#45000,000)every Three Months, Every member of the Senate Receives Ninety Million Naira (#90,000,000) every Three Months, the Senate President receives Four Hundred and Fifty Million Naira (#450,000,000) every Three Months, the Speaker of the House of Rep receives Four Hundred Million (#400,000,000 every Three Months; by the time you add up what the senate president receives as constituency allowance in a year, you will get #1.8 Billion Naira. And all these money are meant for constituency projects like roads, water, electricity, Healthcare facilities etc, but this man pocketed these money for himself and his immediate family. Only those who worships him gets money from him, which road do you see in Otukpo or any Idoma rural area? David Mark goes to other Senators constituencies to commission constituency projects, but in Idoma Land, he wantonly refused to do anything. Even among his family, those who does not support his wicked acts, he doesnt help them. Only of recent, a member of his family died while giving birth just because of #200,000. Look at the round about in otukpo, or even the road leading to Akplegede where he comes from and all the road networks in Otukpo and Idoma land, they are in bad conditions and are death traps. If you bring in #1.8bn into Idoma land in a year, it will develop the land a long way. But because the man hates Idoma people, he has chosen to punish our people! How could he have known that the roads are bad, when he flies Helicopter from Abuja to Otukpo, to Adoka on visits and Agatu to and fro and fro any where within, even when he is among his people, he has never driven on the roads of the people that he claims to be representing, because he knows he rigged his way there. A single phone call from the Senate President to the Minister of works is enough to fix our Roads especially the Otukpo Round about, but because of his hatred towards the Idoma people and the people who now makes up zone c, he wouldnt do that. If I am elected Senator representing Benue South, I wont touch any money meant for constituency project, What I will do is that I will set up a trust fund made up of Nine (9) persons representing the 9 local Govts in zone c and the Tenth Person will be a clergy Man, who would be the chairman of the account, and I will not be a signatory to the account, they will decide for themselves who would be signatories to the account. Every Three Months as the allowance is paid, I shall forward it into that account immediately, and where am away for international assignment or anything, I would ve left a standing instruction to the Bank to always forward it to that constituency account where the 10 Persons representing the Local Govts would channel it into project works. The Idea is that the trust fund committees would be meeting every month to prioritise the projects in each of the local Govts and communities in zone c. They shall cross anyone they are done with and move on to the next. Imagine if such money is judiciously used every three months in our land, development and amenities wouldnt elude us this way!
