10 more minutes to shopping madness or perhaps it has already started? Each to their own, but I for one do not care this Black Friday: concept. I have always been monkuing about the changes brought about by commercialism to our holidays. I feel that it takes away from the real meaning of the holidays. My mind always gets filled with Charlie Brown. Even in Japan, the days of spending New Years Eve and New Year has drastically changed over the years. For myself, New Year in Japan was one of best times spending with family...watching Kohaku, eating Toshikoshi Soba, mossing over to the local shrine for the bell ringing and a sip of New Year Sake. For the adventuresome hele on to Kamakura and join the mass of people lining up to make wishes for the New Year. Alas now they have Hatsu Uri on New Year Day! The mad dash for Fukubukuros.....where did enjoying time with family disappear to? Shoots ....nuff monkuing.... (^^) I am thankful that no one has come down with food poisoning (do far) from my cooking ! Lets see.....Once the soup stock is done...time for Turkey Curry ! youtu.be/BGS0qSHuias
