10 years ago today, Facebook was started and introduced to the world. In those 10 years, many long lost friends have been found, classmates, Exes, family members, friends, old and new. As a result of how some have used this tool, many Promoters have used this social media tool to increase business and club/event attendance, Business Owners have utilized the tool to increase and advertise their businesses etc. This tool has served as a warning to the many dangers that we face daily, traffic alerts, road blocks, hazards, and alerts and other informative things happening in the news and in front of us. This tool has also benefited law enforcement as to catch predators of young people. Has helped find lost children in the form of amber alerts and notices. It has served we as individuals for whatever purpose we might need to get information out. We have shared stories, pictures, infamous moments, announcements, relationships, and of course drama. Aside from the positive that this tool has brought to the world... Just like When the internet came into existence, there has been many positives, but with positives, comes the negatives as some use the tools improperly. Facebook, has taken away family time, just as much as a PS3/4 or XBOX or the TELEVISION, or the PC. It has taken away TALKING on the phone and having meaningful conversations, because why do that when you can CHAT or INBOX, or message?? Sometimes, and this is funny, the only way family and friends might know whats going on in your life or with each other is simply due to updates of Facebook. Sometimes family/friends see more from their loved ones online, they they possibly could even in the same house. Sad! Facebook utilizes a SCROLL-TYPE system, meaning, if you arent online at that moment, you have to SCROLL through it to find what you missed, or to catch up. Do you see the time used now? Then came about the many games, Farmville, City, Candy Crush, etc etc.. Then came the opportunity to own a piece of this lucrative pie. When stocks went public. I myself personally own stock in Facebook, and umm my bank account isnt padded because of it. So as you read this, and reflect on what Facebook has meant to you, how it has aided in your being busted, flirting, creeping, turning up, neglecting more important things, etc.. Congradulate yourself.. for using this tool and being a part of it. Its funny, how i hear people say they arent on FB because of the drama on it, or the stuff it causes, or time it consumes. Its not Facebook, its the people that misuse the tool and its value or gray areas that can cause drama. Facebook has contributed to people being CATFISHED, Frogs becoming Princes, people that dont/cant have friends offline.. being ALL THAT online lol too funny. Anyway...
