10 years ago today I got in my car and left the UK for the French Alps, with no plans beyond snowboarding and having fun. I never dreamed that it would be the start of an adventure that has taken me to 17 countries on 6 continents, living in Australia and Canada, hundreds of days of snowboarding and mountain biking, marrying an Australian girl on top of a mountain, getting to be a part of a wonderful Australian family and becoming Canadian. Thank you to all the amazing friends I have met over these 10 years and to the truly great friends and family who have made the journey with me and stayed close despite being thousands of miles away most of the time. The best part of all is that for all but the first 25 days of these 10 years I have had Ali Loosley to share the adventure with. This is the song that was playing on the radio when I turned out of my street on the morning of Nov 30 2004. It couldnt have been more suitable.
