10 years ago today John Wiley Bennett and I said goodbye to our Austin John. He was almost 10 years old at the time. October 26th has always been a day of memories and celebration as a family. Tonight we went to listen to the Beloit college choir concert, where the theme of the evening was The Little Prince. The focus was relationship, devotion, investment, value, and loss. Dayton Phillip Bennett wrote an essay that he read about valuing people, and being there for the people you love, and he read it before they sang one of the songs. As many of you know, this week has been a roller coaster, but through it all, we see God gave Dayton some of the absolute best friends for his college years. It makes me almost cry to think about how much they all care for each other. Thank you, Alyssa, Larkin, Awesome Austin, and Joseph! Tonight Dayton is hosting story time as he tells them about his childhood and celebrates Austins Day with his closest friends in 609. And Austins legacy and testimony lives on...... :)
