10 yrs ago, I was a sophomore at Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, OK. Although I was living the college dream, I had not been feeling well for a while. Every few months I would go to the doctors with symptoms of feeling run down. My symptoms continued to be dismissed until one morning I woke up drenched in sweat & a swollen lump in my groin. After 3 months of misdiagnosing, they finally found the culprit : Hodgkins Lymphoma - cancer throughout my entire body that I had for at least 2 years without knowing. Wait what!?? Im 22 and dying??Although devastating news, I never thought I would die, but had lost the point of living. After many months of complications, chemotherapy, & losing my hair, it was finally over! I returned back to ORU and graduated. I was told I wouldnt be able to have children, yet I have 2 perfectly healthy children. They told me the cancer would most likely come back, yet I have been cancer free for 10yrs! #testimony
