100 years ago on this day, an Archduke went to a particular city to spite the court he was technically part of at the time. In the process, two assassination attempts were made, one of which hit the only part of his body that wasnt shielded by bulletproof clothing, and all of that only happened because his driver took a wrong turn. A few weeks later Europe was plunged into a long set of disasters that piled up on top of each other that still havent really ended.
