Acts19v19:Many of them which believed came out and renounced their secret work of sorceries. All kinds of witches and wizards came out with their books of evil incantations and burnt them all. When Paul entered region of Ephesus wit the gospel of the kingdom,there was an unprecedented REVIVAL in the land,up to the extent of the witches,sorcerers and wizards making decision to follow Christ. vs19b: the estimate of the sorcery items and fetish materials that were put on fire was fifty thousand worth of silver. Well,u may say its only anointed apostles like Paul that can bring about the spirit of REVIVAL,folks like me cannot. That is not true! Phillip was a regular usher who brought REVIVAL into Samaria. So,who told you revival cannot be pioneered by you? In the case of Phillip also,sorcerers and magicians like Simeon and Elymayas the sorcerer got born again(Acts8v5-13). Today,nations of the earth are destitute of REVIVAL. In Nigeria for instance,the last waves of revival we had was in the days of Joseph Ayo Babalola(mid 50s)and the Scripture Union(SU) of the mid 80s. Imagine,REVIVAL in places like Nigeria was some thirty years ago. When there is REVIVAL,two major things happen: 1)gods or idols bow. 2)the word grows and prevails. 2B CONTD!.
