11/12/2013 - 1:50 am: Heavier snow shower activity is just about exiting Aroostook County right now and we will be left with scattered snow showers for the rest of the night. Our winds will begin picking up near sunrise to speeds of 15 to 20 mph with gusts to 30 mph. It still looks like Tuesday will be a cold and windy day with high temperatures remaining in the upper 20s. Winds are expected to gust to 40 to 45 mph throughout the day Tuesday which will produce wind chill temperatures in the single numbers. Additionally, some heavy snow shower and snow squall activity is possible between the hours of 1 and 5 pm Tuesday afternoon which could create some hazardous driving conditions during the afternoon due to a combination of briefly heavy snow, blowing snow, briefly low visibilities and a quick 1 to 2 inches of snow which will lead to slippery roads and possibly hazardous driving.
