11/22/63: Nov. 22, 1963 will always be remembered as the day JFK died. But it was also the day the world lost two literary powerhouses: C.S. Lewis, author of the The Chronicles of Narnia series, and Aldous Huxley, who wrote Brave New World. News the deaths were virtually lost in the coverage of JFKs assassination; Lewis funeral was sparsely attended as the news had not reached many friends. Lewis was honored at a memorial in Poets Corner at Westminster Abbey Friday. Plus, check out a previously unseen essay by Lewis, an an homage to Huxley as a true visionary, posted at The Guardian.
