11:25 - Around this time, nurse takes one look at my face twisted in pain and decides to have the doc check me... Im getting rather... Loud. He checks, says Im 8.5 and hed like to break my water. He does, and right afterwards he says oh dear, her head is right there, dearie -- one or two pushes and shes out - let me get things ready... He leaves. And I continue to yell.... 11:30 hits and I have that need to push - so I scream it at the nice little nurse that was preparing instruments. She leaves and within seconds, the bottom of the bed falls away and my knees are up around my ears. Im screaming now - the pain was immeasurable. At one point a nurse slams an oxygen mask on my face and yells SCREAMING ISNT HELPING YOU, YOU HAVE TO PUSH!!!!. Im gripping Leos hand so hard Im surprised it hasnt fallen off. I look at him and whimper that Im dying. He assures me that Im not, but then jokes that its a good thing were in a hospital if you are... I push. Theres a nurse at my belly trying to find Maggies heartbeat because its not reading. She adjusts it and its pretty low - so doc says politely, little cut!! - I barely felt it, but the minute he did, she tumbled out of me. The minute she did, all pain pretty much ceased. They cleaned her up and gave her to her father first, then passed her to me. She was tiny, but feisty. 11:35am my baby girl came flying into this world - and life has never been the same. Happy birthday, Maggie. I love you to the moon and back...
