11:57 am Tuesday Dear Network Marketing Friend, If you’re sick and tired of, doing what they say, wasting money on leads that don’t respond, getting hung on and yelled at and spending your hard earned money to do it, if you knew in your heart that there was a better way to do this network marketing thing, but you didn’t know how exactly to do it, then this is the most important report you will ever read in your entire life. Please be patient and read it to the end. My name is Gladys Laird, and I’m an Affiliate Internet Marketer. I didnt know a thing about marketing when I started in January of 2013. As a matter of fact, I was left with a slight handicap from a fall with a lose of memory, but that didnt stop me from doing what I wanted, and that was to work smart, instead of hard. After loosing $15,000 from an Academy out of Utah promising me a Web Site that would produce for me a residual income with-in 90 days, I thought I had learned enough to start this new adventure. Truth be told, I had learned how to determine who is and who isnt to be trusted. Oh boy, they gave me the whole spiel about being #1 with the BBB, testimonies galore, etc. I fell for it and signed away my money. For 6 months they sent me assignments, I posted my products, got a drop shipper, they said I was up and running and yet when family and friends went to buy my product no page pulled up. Why? Had no back office code. They call it black code. What did I learn. #1. I do the research about the so called facts they share with me #2. Actually call the BBB and ask very specific questions pertaining to that information. #3 See if the business had a good system, great leadership, and a good compensation plan. According to the Bureau of Labor for the Statistics of 2012 these are the main ingredients of a good choice when looking for a way to earn extra income with an on line business. Why am I telling you this? Because I dont want you to waste your hard earned money, getting screwed, scammed into something so some one else takes home the cash. This company I am involved with now has all three of the criteria from the Bureau of Labor. Long standing since 2005. Has great leadership, FREE training once inside, the system is designed so you collect 100% of your earnings, so at a $25 start, when you get 2 people in, youve made back you first investment, which is of course a great compensation plan. But, let me tell you, theres some slick dudes and dudetts out there. I can remember, while I was posting my product I chose as my niche market, which was Survival Gear, I just didnt feel right. Id post something, but when my page pulled up, I couldnt place an oder. So, I would call my coach and hed assure me everything was fine. I called the drop shipper and they wouldnt get my orders. Then one day I got a call from an investigator asking me if I had any affiliations with this particular Company and I said yes. He then said to me, “well hate to tell you this but we are suing them for fraud. They get people like you to pay exorbitant amounts of money and knowing in the back office it is black, meaning no code to connect to the Internet.”I just cried....Feeling like such a fool...Loosing all that money. Here I was trying to create a residual income so my husband of 71 yrs of age could stop working 16/7 every week so we could keep our heads above water and not lose our place. Still fighting off the fatigue of the fall I took and hit my head that caused me to loose my memory, and learn a new skill, working earnestly just to make ends meet. We were about to loose it all. I felt like such a failure, so frustrated, and then angry. I thought how dare them, Here I am, an honest person just wanting to learn a new skill to make an income and from the start they knew it and took advantage of me anyway. Thats dirty pool jack....Im the kind of person that pulls up her boot straps and kicks her heels together and pulls out of it pretty quick. I called around to see how to get my money back, but couldnt because I paid cash for everything, and signed papers over the Internet, they call it Doc-U Sign. Its held legal with any credit card company. In a minute Ill share why I am doing what I am now, but first let me share with you what hooked me with this illegal company. The Truth About Why What They Say Only Leaves You With A Big Whole In Your Bank Account And Nothing To Show For It . . . They took me to the BBB, they asked me to put my husband on the phone for a three way to verify I wasnt doing anything behind his back, that would fall on them, they shared with me false sites making thousands of dollars a week, and check to prove it. All over the phone. So, ladies and gents, dont... I repeat... dont ever do anything over the phone. Look into the system, leadership, and compensation plan. Number 1) I never questioned how they got my phone number. It seemed to be like a blessing instead of a deception that it was. 2nd. I dint do the diligence for researching them beyond what they told me. I trusted them unseen. Out of desperation. Which is an emotion. Never make a business decision out of emotion. Im going to break this down for you so you dont make the same mistake. Often most, especially with our economy of today are broke, yet are willing to take the risk, and try something to increase the income aspect of the household. So, being desperate doesnt help. #1 Dont come across that way. #2 Listen , take notes, check, write down names, numbers, put a date and pay for everything with a debit card for tracking. #3. If they give numbers of people already involved as a verification to what their telling you, “DO” take them down and give them a call, I said, “oh no thats not necessary.” Ha....#4 If they come across with a pressure point saying you have to take advantage of this one and only time offer or youll miss out. That is a major red flagging. #5 Most but not least, dont say yes the first day. Tell them you have to think about it. Dont let them push, if they do, that is another red flag. Give yourself time to check things out and get a better feel as to weather its legitimate or not. They Told Me To Buy Leads And Call Them When they told me I had to buy leads. People who are known to buy my kind of product, that meant I had to pay even more again. When I called, I usually got a ring in my ear from them hanging the phone up on me. Another scam. They held the lead list. The money went into their pockets. Not mine. They Told Me To Just Read This Script And At Least 5% Of People Would Join Assuring me that when I called I would be at least at an 80% rate of product sold. Well, this didnt happen, They gave me a script to read all printed out with the supposed correct thing to say to get them to buy. I received no leads, no sales, and no money. Dead in the water.... When That Didn’t Work They Said Buy More Expensive Leads I Asked Them If They Had A Strong Marketing System They told me yeah But.... I caution everyone reading this. First let me share, even though I had this awful experience, there are good systems out there. It was my own short comings that got me caught up with their slick tongue. I was desperate, we were broke, we needed money now, they assured me it would be soon, I believed it all with out a doubt. I made my decision all on the emotions of this desperation due to our circumstances. They Told Me To Stay Strong And Charge Ahead No Matter What And I’d Get There Well I guess the were partially right, I’m mean I did charge ahead, but I quit doing all the dumb stuff they were telling me to do. I just couldn’t justify it any longer. They were making money from me on my leads and my business, and I was out there pushing hard day after day and night after night and for what? Poor coaching that did nothing but cost me money and make me feel like a looser. I kept going, but I quit doing what they said. Hit it home with the idea of your business is your business and you have to do what’s right for you not what’s putting money in their pocket. An awakening When I Asked Them How Much They Were Making And How Many People They Recruited They Said . . . I was putting my neck on the line, close to bankruptcy a I needed to know what it was that I really was building. I got the steam and asked my sponsor how much he was making and all he said what it’s not about me it’s about you. Yeah, but I just spent $15,000 doing what you said, you owe me at least this don’t you think. Well I guess not, they never came clean. I knew something was fishy, and that’s when I had to pull the cord. What is there to hide. It was time for me let go get off illusion and figure out how to really do this. Embracing these principles and making them the core of my business has the without a doubt the key to my personal success. I realized that the jumping around to this gimmick, or that gimmick which bombarded my email box daily with all kinds of new trends with this to make more money, or that, I shut it all down, and found the one 2 Companies that would enable me to succeed. What you are about to read is the most important information you will ever lay your eyes on about network marketing. If you’re not in a quite place, go to one now. Sit down pull out your highlighter because your business is about to change in a very positive way! If You Don’t Have Control You Don’t Have A Business You know what I learned? Buying leads was the worst thing that I ever could have done for my business. Why? You hand over control to someone else. The second you do that your business is standing on shaky grounds. Why? You are dependent on them for everything? If they don’t end you leads you don’t have a business. You get addicted. Your lead provider becomes your business. You don’t learn how to establish yourself without them. The most risky business model in the world in a one dimensional one, and when you buy leads thats exactly what you have. I wondered why my sponsor wanted me to do it? I realized that as long as I was spending money to buy those leads from them, one maybe two would come in, but when I stopped, the leads stopped. Leads arent cheap. My first purchase was $400 for 100 leads, I got one lead at the lowest level for that.. I realized after spending all that money trying to make money, I wasnt the one getting rich. They were. So, I call it STOP. I stopped buying and listening to those greedy gurus make money off me and started looking for good, sound, profitable, reliable training. Training from people who proved their methods worked. I bought them, and talked to my family and shared how I needed the time to put into action the time, and focus to make it work and give me 30 days. They agreed....I began to Duplicate their Success. Duplication Is Not Hard If You Actually Have A Marketing System They always talk about network marketing as being a business of duplications, but what’s duplicable about buying leads and calling them accept the fact that it’s simple to do. Duplication is NOT based on how easy something is to do, rather it’s based how effective what you are doing is duplicated. One of the most important things I’ve learned and build my personal business around is the idea that buying leads is NOT duplicable. One person may be great at the cold calling game, but odds are most people won’t be and that really doesn’t spell duplication if you asked me. Couple this with the one dimensional business model we spoke about above and you can see why so many network marketers have such a tough time making anything in their business. Here’s what should be focused on when we discuss the idea of duplication. - your marketing system. If you have a marketing system in place that will close leads at a consistent rate regardless of whether or not you ever interact with your prospect, well know you’re standing on firm ground. Make sure you have a strong marketing system. Like I said earlier from the Bureau of Labor Statistics gave the ingredients of a good sound Marketing Business. A good proven system, good leadership, and a good compensation plan. To my surprise one day, I call it a blessing this very kind of business came across my path in my in box. The name of this company is Empower Network. The man who developed it was homeless and tired of being broke so he worked it out, proved it to work on himself, and began sharing it with others for them to get out from under the same kind of situation. He wasnt in it for him, he was in it for others. Integrity. After working this new system he designed he made his first million. Can you imagine what its like to go from homeless, living in a van, to a beach front home in Coasta Rica? If You Focus On This One Thing There Is No Way Your Business Can’t Grow And It’s Called . . . Lead Generation Forget about contacting every lead you generate, instead focus on generating more leads. It’s a numbers game on the front end and a relationship building game on the back end. If you remember that sentence I just gave you and you really understand it you’re on the right path right here, and right now. Don’t worry about following up with all the leads you generate, instead worry about generating more and letting the right one’s reach out and contact you. Begin to brand yourself. Become that professional you started out to learn how to be. This way you’re only dealing with the cream of the crop when it comes to prospects and your life gets a whole lot easier. The problem that most people face is that they call leads and this model doesn’t apply to calling leads and they are never taught the right way to generate them. Bad for them, good for you. If You Quit Spending Money And Start Making It Things Get Much Easier Why do so many network marketers focus on one thing and one thing alone? It’s really not just about getting people into your business. In fact, it’s this exact path of thought that is the demise of many. Why pay $5 for a lead, then give them a call and if they don’t join your business throw it away? It really doesn’t make any sense at all to me. Well, I guess when it comes down to it I do know what so many network marketers have this one focus. It’s because that’s all that they are taught. So think about it, as a network marketer most people are taught to buy leads from one source, call those leads and ask them to join their business and if they don’t just move on to the next one. How risky and inefficient is that, yet it’s what’s taught and it’s where I started. But when you really think about it, it’s the most risky and the most inefficient business plan anyone could ever have. The cold calling game has its place, but unless you’re trying to recruit people into a business with a huge enrollment fee, it will literally take you years to ever get above water. Well what happens if either your business or your leads provision goes under in that time. You crap out of luck. Why would anyone do that to themselves? It’s just plane wrong to teach people if you really have their best interests at heart and it’s why I would never do it again even it was the only choice, it’s just not worth it. Here’s what you should focus on and what I focus on, making money today from as many of my prospects as I can, and then waiting until tomorrow to choose the right ones to join my business. That way my personal risk goes down to zero in the short term and have cash to put back into marketing and promotion tomorrow while I sit back and choose who I want to work with. Winners, Dreamers, people with vision, and drive. That sounds like a plan right? So, which would you do? Duplicate your coach who is making money, or buy leads from someone who is just stealing your money and you end up more broke then you started? Who Says You Can’t Build Your Business On line? Have you ever heard this one before? I know I have. Before I started building my business on line I went into a couple forums to ask other network marketing leaders what and how they were building their business. I asked them verbatim if they thought that a person could build their network marketing business completely on line. You should have seen it . . . The first one said, “oh yes, for $25,000 I will give you my secret to success.” I said, “NO Thanks” The second one, another sponsor said the same thing but for less, $5,000, again, I said, “NO THANKS” I was literally laughed out of the forum. Then I came across these two companies that talked about this duplication thing and building a business around you, branding yourself. Why? I bought $15,000 of product from some one I didnt know. If I brand myself, so my customer gets to know me, what Im about, who I am, what I like and dont like, do I have any value to my story, they will trust me and therefore buy from me, and you as well. I asked myself why? And you know what I later found out why. Because they hadn’t done it so it couldn’t be done in their eyes. To bad for them, good for you and me. It can be done. And it’s actually easier and faster than trying to build good relationships and grow your business quickly off line. I would love to teach you how.... Don’t let anyone else’s opinion stop you from doing your business the way you want to do it. It’s easy to do on line if you know the RIGHT way to do it, that’s the simple truth. With leverage you have power and buying leads from one provider, calling them one at a time, and getting rejected over and over again doesn’t give you any leverage it actually takes it way. You need to work your business in terms of large numbers. The more people that know and trust you the better you’re going to do in the long run. Hard to do off line, but very easy to do on line . . . No cold calling, no knocking on doors, no home meetings. Just Blog daily and post a few interesting posts daily. If I can take my evenings off from work and grow a worldwide organization of 4917+ people in a year and half as a 61 year old person with not that large of a budget and no experience, then so can you, it’s just a matter of knowing the right things to do, and connecting to the right system, with the right program, and training. All this takes is drive, a little determination, a vision, and diligence. Not much time, or not a lot a money when you think about the returns. If I can do it, any one can, remember I started with not having the ability to retain memory, I just winged it and it began to stick and soon, I saw progress, as will you. It’s About Relationships, Not The Hard Sale Why do people do business with anyone? There are a thousand providers of any personal service or commodity, but we each tend to choose our favorite. Why do we do that? Relationship! We buy from and work with the people that we choose to work with because we have a relationship with them and we choose them over the other provider out there. That’s what you have to understand if nothing else, and that can be done with the social media we have made available to us today very easily. If you can build a relationship with people in a leveraged situation then there truly is nothing you can’t accomplish. Understand that calling people one at a time ain’t gonna get you their. You need leverage and you need relationships if you’re going to survive. The Internet makes this so easy it isn’t even funny. The key is to know how to do it the right way, and when you do, you have 10,000 people spread across the globe that know and trust you there is nothing that will stop you. The magic is in the relationship with the leverage. Lets take a successful business person who already has a huge following and decides to do this business and connects with them and gives them the facts. I mean who doesnt want to make 100% commissions? Not even stock marketers can do that. So, his following trusts him, for they know him, been around him and so buy from him. I know of one person who did this in this company and make over $600,000 in one month. There is a disclaimer here. No one can make anything unless they put their effort forward. He did. He saw the merit, took the opportunity and become a millionaire in two months. See, you make that same commission monthly. Great ha! Consistency Is The Name Of The Game! What is network marketing if it isn’t consistency on purpose? The name of the game is know what you stand for - stand for it - and act in accordance with it in everything that you do from today until you meet your object. The problem is when you’re on the phone all the time getting fed negativity and rejection all the time even the strongest willed person will have moments of doubt. But if you can pay yourself along the way to validate what you are doing is the right thing and you can continue that process until you meet your goals you’re on the path to great success. Always be consistent in your actions, but make sure the things you stand for are things that you can stand for 10 years from now and will make you money along the way and then my friend you have a winning formula.
