11. John 6:50-71 November 18, 2014 “The Spirit alone gives eternal life. Human life accomplishes nothing. And the very words I have spoken to you are spirit and life.” All spiritual life begins and ends with the Holy Spirit helping us to see and understand the truth to us. The Holy Spirit also helps us to understand how to respond to that truth. This is a shocking message to read without the knowledge of his truth and the work of the Holy Spirit. By the elements of the life of Jesus the Holy Spirit helps us to see by his death, and resurrection as we learn his teachings for following the commands, while trusting in the Holy Spirit for guidance. God for whom we wait, in this meal you give us a foretaste of that day when the hungry will be fed with good things. Send us forth to make known your deeds and invite other to proclaim the greatness of your name, through Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord.
