12/15/14 MS/HS ANNOUNCEMENTS: This week is your last chance to stop by and check the lost in found. The items will be packed up Friday afternoon. Attention Yearbook Staff: We will meet Tuesday and Wednesday of this week after school in Mrs. Weller’s room. All fully-edited Fall pages are due this Friday. Congratulations to the following wrestlers for placing at the Bellevue Invite. 1st: Caleb Stockmaster and Drake Reed, 2nd: Deven Taylor, 4th: Ed Huber. Also congratulations to Drake Reed for picking up his 100th career victory. High School Academic Challenge will meet Thursday afternoon in Mrs. Roan’s room. There will be a Toy Drive to benefit families in Sandusky and Castalia. Please bring a new, unwrapped toy tomorrow, Dec. 16th to the boys’ basketball game against the St. Mary Panthers. Please see the posted signs around school as to the toy items that are needed. A blood drive is taking place this Thursday, December 18th. This Christmas you can give the gift that can help save up to 3 lives! If you are 16 or older please sign up to donate. Sign up sheets are located in the main office and in the following classrooms: Mrs. Bonnigson, Miss Comparette, Mr. Gravenhorst, Mrs. Meyers, Mr. Pope and Mrs. Wurzel. ATTENTION ALL JUNIORS: We are in need of people to help work the concession stand at the boy’s basketball games! Stop into the main office to sign up to help. We need 2 class officers and 3 other students. Each time you work, you get $5 off your prom ticket! Remember, the money we make at the concession stand goes towards the prom. So if you want to have a great prom this year, please sign up! Students are NOT to wear coats during the school day. Coats should be kept in lockers. This includes varsity letter jackets. Please donate to the 12th annual Toy Drive to benefit Project Share. New toys and cash donations are being collected now until today, December 15th. Donations can be made in the main office or to any participating teacher. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Bonnigson. Attention all students grades 9-12: The yearbook staff is in need of photos for the yearbook cover. If you are interested in appearing on the cover of the book, send a single or group selfie through the Jostens Replay It app on your smart phone. See Mrs. Weller or a yearbook staff member for instructions. Attention Freshman: Please sign up in the Main Office to help run the concession stand at the Girls Basketball Games! Remember we need one officer and 2 workers at each game! Gracias!-Miss Crone. SENIORS: ATTENTION SENIOR STUDENTS: The Ohio State University Research Station in Fremont is looking for hardworking, energetic, and enthusiastic students, to work there this summer. The research that is conducted is regarding vegetable crop research. Research is also conducted on pesticide trails along with 15 acres of tomato breeding research. If you are interested in hearing more about this opportunity please see Mrs. Lott in the guidance office. The following scholarships are available in the Guidance Office: Cleveland Cavaliers First Merit Bank The Ohio State University Alumni of Erie County The JCI Foundation Erie County Farm Bureau Ag Related Erie County Farm Bureau General Franklin B. Walters. A scholarship is available in the guidance Office for any senior who will be attending Bowling Green State University majoring in biology. If you are interested, please stop by for more information. The following college representatives will be visiting here on the dates listed.
