12/25/14, Christmas Day Jesus The shepherds went back to their flocks, glorifying and praising God for all they had heard and seen. It was just as the angel had told them. Eight days later, when the baby was circumcised, he was named Jesus, the name given him by the angel even before he was conceived. --Luke 2:20-21 Jesus. As much as we enjoy the festivities, foods, presents, movies, and family and friends, today is really about Jesus. But tomorrow is too, and so is the next day and the next. Just because we take time to celebrate Christmas one day a year doesnt mean we keep him wrapped up in the corner for the other 364. Christmas Day reminds us that God really did come to this world as one of us, had a birthday like the rest of us, and walked this earth with us. When we place our trust in him, he forgives us and renews us and our brokenness, and we travel on a new path-- HIS path--to live in relationship with him now and forever. Thats guaranteed to be the best gift that could ever be UNWRAPPED...
