12/8/14 - C-c-c-cold! Single digits overnight and this morning, but an absolutely gorgeous start to the day. Temps rise to the low 20s through the day, and cloudiness increases ahead of the big storm. Its still unclear how much will be snow, freezing rain, or plain rain. Hopefully its all of the frozen variety on the mountain regardless of what falls around my house. The fun starts tomorrow morning. Ill keep you posted. I skied yesterday, but didnt get above the Coleman Brook Quad. It definitely turned out much windier than expected. That winds aloft forecast I mentioned was quite accurate. Winds down low today should be light and variable, but expect a NW breeze in the teens at the top of the mountain. I was pleasantly surprised to see the trail count was 50 yesterday. Between continued snowmaking operations and the natural snow on the way, that number should leap forward through the week. Yeehaa! Im not anticipating being on the slopes again until Thursday morning. I hope to find great conditions. See you there!
