12 Monkeys, the TV series is finally here. The series, so far, takes some turns away from the 1995 movie, and, thats to be expected, and even hoped for, because, we already have that story. Actor Aaron Stanford, for one, isnt the Bruce Willis portrayal of the James Cole character from the movie, but does a fair excellent job of acting the tightrope balancing act of seeming insanity, resolve, faith in the mission, and a man out of time. Like the old Terminator paradigm, hes got a Sarah Conner mission. Unfortunately, for him, that mission isnt the end solution, but, the beginning of what could be quite the fun series. While I dont agree with the linear model of single-universe time travel, I can look past that and enjoy the fun of paradoxes and other gimmicks the show makes use of.
