12 Things I was reminded of or learned in 2014: The Bad: 1. Dont lend money to people that dont know how to manage money. If you borrowed money from me and didnt pay it back, the Raiders will make it to the Super Bowl before you ever get a dime from me again. 2. It is beyond annoying to be tagged in every rogue police video folks run across. I live in California the rules of engagement are different here. With that being said Im not an expert on law enforcement I just know what i can and can not do based on the laws of my state. 3. Ive met some great people on Facebook and on the flip side Ive come across some weirdos. (No I dont want to see any part of your anatomy, No we cant get to know each other better and No you cant have my phone number, but thanks for asking) 4. All these negative post (fight videos, post degrading women and men and talking negatively about all law enforcement officers) are a downer, try to be positive. 5. People will live in your house, eat your food and steal from you without batting an eye. 6. Sometimes things have to change The Good: 1. God is good 2. I have a pretty awesome family. We arent perfect, but man we could be so much worse...lol 3. I have awesome friends! They are Riders! I have also met and connected with some awesome people on Facebook. Doors have open and so many opportunities are coming my way. 4. I have chosen a noble career. Im proud of the things I have accomplished during my 16 years in this profession. 5. Change is Good sometimes 6. Im really starting to control my temper because a few years ago some folks would have got the business...lol 2014 was a roller coaster ride, but that which doesnt kill us can only make us stronger. I look forward to 2015! I have a new position at work (no more nightshift). Im going to keep training and continue to be the best me I can be. Happy New Year!!
