12 Years A Slave: on the topic of slavery, no matter how many films I see, books I read, texts I peruse... It astounds me the cruelty of man. I like to think I couldnt be conditioned to accept slavery. But, other people did. Were they inherently evil? Would they have been horrible people under ANY circumstance? What norms of society currently exist that in 100 years time will have been found to be cruel? Food industry? Child labor. I suppose there are atrocities hidden and kept at arms length. Where there is demand, someone will supply. Anyway, 12 Years A Slave.... Worth a watch. 👍👍
