12 months ago I was having an absolute career highlight in Texas: headlining my own show at The House of Blues with my band, singing on live TV in the Thanksgiving Parade, releasing my first EP, starring in a major Opera, my face was popping up on magazine covers without me knowing...family, life, finances, health - all good...no concerns. Juxtapose that to where I am now - in the midst of the most challenging year of my life - and the THANKS AND GRATITUDE I FEEL ARE OVERWHELMING: THANK YOU: TEXAS for embracing your boy, lifting me up, giving me amazing opportunities, and giving me a taste of what it feels like to be somebody. GOD for giving me enough ambition to outweigh any fears; the skills and knowledge of how to survive this tricky journey; and the knowledge that being somebody is relative MY FAMILY for letting me be the black sheep all these years, and standing by me. and even though I have missed many holidays trying to be somebody, please know I love you all abundantly & unconditionally DEREK & DON for showing me true friendship & endless support MONTE, MERRICK, DAVID, LAURA, JOSH...Thank you all ENORMOUSLY for welcoming this gypsy ragamuffin into your homes this year. Without your shelter, I would be homeless, living in my car right now. Gods honest truth. Thank you for investing in a friend by giving so much. I love all of you so much for helping me. You have it here in writing: Vacations for all of you as soon as Im ballin! / anything you ever need help with I AM HERE. STEPHEN, BOSS LADY, GLORIA, MAYURET, for offering me employment and keeping me busy! special shout-out to Stephen for being a great friend and counselor as well!
