12 years ago I was so impressed by Calcuttas Great Eastern Hotel. Then a rich man bought it and stripped it of its grand old history. Yesterday I walked past it and could sat there and wept! Mark Twain, one of my favorite childhood authors had stayed here once and all that history gone! Its so wrong. How is it that men with wealth have no sense of human value, aesthetics or history! Yes, Im angry. So angry.
