12 years ago this morning I was riding up to GSU with my friend Sarah and we turned on the Bob and Tom Show like we always did. At first we thought what we were hearing was a joke bit, but quickly realized it was not. We got to the lounge at school just in time to see the first tower fall. I will never forget the looks on the face of my professor and the other students. These were criminal justice folks. They were hard and professional. And they were devastated and shocked. Everybody was. Today I think about the first responders and the families who lost loved ones that day. May they have peace and feel the love of our country for the sacrifices they made that day.
