PHOTOS - Al Tasaweer is when someone makes an idol or image from his hands in the image of a human or animal, however photographs are a reflection of the real image the way a mirror reflects your image. Photographs are not haram, however to hang them in the masjid is haram, and to pray in front of one in your home is not allowed, nor to hang it up in the home. ---------------------- from my notes during Q&A with Sheikh Omar Bakri Muhammad
