With a beautiful but cold day, the troops set sail on a quick dash around the block. At the bottom of the Gooseneck, 3 minutes covered the field & scratch was powering. Having caught the mid’s, only the limit bunch was in front. At the climb of the Exchange Hill, limit just managed ( by 100 metres ) to get around the corner before scratch could see them. Without the incentive to chase, scratch only managed to make up 40 seconds in the last 6 k’s.
