13 Reasons I Am Thankful in 2013 1. Creation: Gen 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. Psa 19:1 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork. -I am thankful for this wonderful world that God has created for us, so often we take this one for granted... 2. Salvation: Rom 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. -I am thankful that I am a “whosoever”... 3. Propitiation/Expiation: 1Jn 2:2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world. 1Jn 4:10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. -I am thankful that Christ was my substitute on the cross of Calvary, and that His sacrificial death was the atonement for my sin... 4. Redemption: Gal 4:5 To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons. Tit 2:14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. -I am thankful that Christ redeemed me from the world and that I am an adopted son of God... 5. Justification/Resurrection: Rom 4:25 Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification. -I am thankful that I am justified by the resurrection of Christ and that He is my mediator before God... 6. Sanctification: Jud 1:1 Jude, the servant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, to them that are sanctified by God the Father, and preserved in Jesus Christ, and called: -I am thankful that God has set me apart and preserved me in Christ Jesus... 7. Reconciliation/Restoration: 2Co 5:18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; Isa 58:12 ...and thou shalt be called, The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in. -I am thankful that no matter how far I may stray from God, He will always reconcile and restore me to Himself... 8. Consolation: 2Th 2:16-17 Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, even our Father, which hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace, (17) Comfort your hearts, and stablish you in every good word and work. -I am thankful that I can always go to God for comfort and consolation during trials and tribulations... 9. Supplication: Php 4:6-7 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. (7) And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. -I am thankful that I can always bring my requests and thanksgiving to God, and that He always hears them and answers them in His will, way, and timing... 10. Provision: Php 4:19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. -I am thankful that God always provides for me: Jehovah-Jireh!... 11. Adoration: Joh 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 1Jn 4:7-8 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. (8) He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. -I am thankful for the love of God, family, and friends... 12. Recreation/Vacation: Ecc 5:18-19 Behold that which I have seen: it is good and comely for one to eat and to drink, and to enjoy the good of all his labour that he taketh under the sun all the days of his life, which God giveth him: for it is his portion. (19) Every man also to whom God hath given riches and wealth, and hath given him power to eat thereof, and to take his portion, and to rejoice in his labour; this is the gift of God. -I am thankful for the opportunity to enjoy the pleasures of life and the time that God gives us to refresh ourselves physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually... 13. Satisfaction: Psa 103:5 Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagles. Jer 30:17 For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the LORD; -I am always thankful for the health that God has given me to serve Him wholeheartedly... And, of course, I am thankful for Gratification, the ability to be content in all things and to be thankful for all the blessings of God...(one for 2014 :) ) Happy Thanksgiving Everyone...
