#1359 I took HR Staffing and Planning this semester, and it started off very poorly. I got a 0 out of 30 on Case 1 because I worked with a classmate (which was against the rules) and since I was running low on time, I copied her answers and put them as mine, which the professor saw right away. Bad mistake, I know that now. It certainly didnt get much better as I failed the first exam with a 50/100, then did poorly on the second exam with a 64/100. The total points for the class was 500, so there was 116 points thrown right out the window. Things looked pretty bleak for me, but I didnt give up. I kept at it with the weekly quizzes and the last two case assignments, and passed them with flying colors. Even so though, my grade was sitting at a D+, so it all came down to the final. I studied my ass off for it in 2 days, memorizing everything I could. It paid off big time, as I got an 86/100, and it put me up to a C-. And then I earned 5 extra credit points by attending a seminar and writing a paragraph about it. This then put me up to a C, and Ive been rejoicing ever since. Why am I sharing this? Because even when things look bad, you should never give up. I was sure that I was done for in that class, but I kept at it, and I received a passing grade. If I can do it, so can all of you. So hang in there, and dont let things get to you. For any of you who have heard this before, you probably know who I am, but I just wanted others to see it/hear it too.
