14 year old Lindsay Chia and 11 year old Cassidy Lavigne will be traveling to Ottawa to attended the National Gymnastics Championships during the week of May 26th to June 1st. The top athletes from each province come to this meet to compete to be ranked in Canada. It is a lot of hard work to get this far, and these two athletes have put in the time and the work to make it this far. This is Lindsay’s second time attending the event but the first time in the Junior High Performance category. Lindsay is currently ranked 14 in Canada. She will be acting as the big sister to Cassidy who is attending for the first time in the National Novice category. Both girls are from the Rose City Gymnastics club in Windsor and train 25 hours per week. Coaches Tom and Diane Deslippe will be accompanying both of them for this competition.
