14 years ago today, I looked into the eyes of my beautiful bride and gave her my lifelong commitment. I remember it like it was yesterday. 14 years seems like a long time in one sense, but like a drop in a bucket in another. So much has been packed into these years that its unreal. As everyone who is married knows, it has been quite the learning experience, as there is no explicit manual on what to do and how to do it (excluding the bible of course). There have been many ups and a variety of downs. There have been times when we have both probably wanted to quit, but God is faithful. Every time I would get to that point, it wouldnt take long for me to realize that I honestly couldnt fathom my life, my world, my existence without you in it. Thats a fact that is incontrovertible. You are simply who I need to walk through this life on this earth. Even when Ive been too stubborn to realize it, you are who God knew I needed! You are an incredible woman of God who is still growing into who He wants you to be. You have affected many lives and will undoubtedly affect countless more. Your compassion and intercession for people knows no bounds and it is magnificent for me to see that in action. You are a fantastic mother who has poured and continues to pour into our children at every opportunity. They are beyond blessed to have you whether they realize it or not. I know I am not perfect. I am still learning how to be what you need as a husband. With Gods grace I will get closer to that every day. But despite all the negatives that come with the territory, if I had to do it all over again, knowing what I know now, I would without even the slightest hesitation. My life has been enriched beyond measure because youre in it. I love you more than anything and it is truly a privilege to share my life with you. Happy Anniversary Lisa and heres to many more!
