140314 Classification of Yugas As per Shri Yukteshwar the sun moves around a dual star and also around a Grand Central Sun or Vishnunabhi. When the sun, during its revolution round its dual star, comes to the point nearest to its Grand Center, then, Brahma the universal magnetism, develops dharma or mental virtue to the maximum and man can easily understand even the mysteries of Spirit. It takes 12,000 human years to reach this stage and this is called the Ascending cycle of the Mahayuga. From here on, in another 12,000 years, the sun starts receding in its orbit to the farthest point of the Grand Center and dharma reduces to such an extent that man cannot grasp anything beyond the gross material creation and this is called the Descending stage of the Maha yuga . Thus in a period of 24,000 years, the sun completes the revolution around its dual and also finishes one electrical Cycle. At the beginning and ending of each yuga there exists a sandhya which forms 10% of the duration of that yuga. 1.) Kaliyuga: The mental virtue or dharma is in the first stage and is only a quarter developed, the human iintellect cannot comprehend anything beyond the gross material of this ever-changing creation, the external world. Kali Yuga = 1000 years Sandhya = 100 years Sandhyanash = 100 years ------------------------- = 1,200 years 2.) Dwaparayuga: The mental virtue or dharma is in the second stage and is only half developed, the human iintellect can comprehend the fine matters or electricities and their attributes, which are the creating principles of the external world. Dwapara Yuga = 2000 years Sandhya = 200 years Sandhyanash = 200 years ------------------------- = 2,400 years 3.) Treta Yuga: The mental virtue or dharma is in the third stage, and, the human intellect can comprehend the divine magnetism, the source of all electrical forces on which the creation depends for its existence. Treta Yuga = 3000 years Sandhya = 300 years Sandhyanash = 300 years ------------------------- = 3,600 years 4.) Satya Yuga: The mental virtue or dharma is in the fourth stage and completes its full development, the human intellect can comprehend all, even God, the Spirit beyond this visible world. Satya Yuga = 4000 years Sandhya = 400 years Sandhyanash = 400 years ------------------------- = 4,800 years We are now in the beginning of the Ascending Dwapara Yuga, and the common consciousness of the world citizens is awash with knowledge and intellectual development. Thus lost sciences like Vaastu Sashtra, etc. are resurfacing to help mankind develop exponentially.
