141030: 5K with a Core Mix After a good warmup...get outside and run a 5K (~3.2 Miles). During the run, drop down and knock out a random core/abdominal exercise of your choice (e.g. Planks, Mountain Climbers, Steam Engines, Leg Lifts, Sit-Ups, Bridge, etc.) for 1-2 minutes every 5 minutes of your run. I find this helps to break up the run into pieces and makes the overall distance seem shorter. (Note: Can also be performed indoors on a treadmill if you have inclement weather in the forecast (otherwise I recommend getting outside) via the same fashion). ***ALWAYS Warm-up for 5-10 minutes by getting the heart rate up and completing some ballistic and static stretching for the muscle groups to be trained. Ensure you Cool-down for 5-10 minutes at the end of each workout by allowing your heart rate to return to normal levels and completing some ballistic and static stretching.*** ***WARNING: These workout plans are only an idea and place to begin. If you have any doubts about your current level of fitness and your ability to complete them safely, please seek the advise of your physician. If you have any injuries or ailments, of any type, it is highly suggested that you only perform a modified version of the workout and/or abstain from the workout entirely. If you have any doubts, seek an alternative means to achieve your fitness goals. Coach Jeremy and the associated Facebook posts assume no liability for injury and/or any other ailment that may result. Please perform the exercises based on your current ability, always putting safety first, and do not push yourself beyond a level that exceeds your fitness capabilities.*** - Onward - Coach Jeremy
