#1456 Im such a flop in school My grades are worse! I need advice to get better at school Admin: First off, dont be a flop in school. Honestly I dont know exactly what a flop is, but it sounds like a slack off so thats what Im going to assume it is. So youd need to get your act together and put effort into your schoolwork and grades. I cannot officially say whether youre not because again, Im unsure what a flop is. But hopefully these tips will be useful into helping your grades rise before the first trimester. -Use Your Agenda: A lot of students dont realize how useful their agenda really is. I admit, I use this thing everyday to make sure Im caught to date on what homework is for that day so that once Im home, I know exactly what homework I need to finish. Your agenda is not just some space waster in your backpack, use it! I know a lot of teachers make you write your homework down beforehand (like on Monday, for example. Where they have homework for the whole week written down) But if your teacher doesnt do that, then try to make a habit of writing it down the moment you find out what your homework is. -Stay Organized: Ill admit, as a seventh grader I had a terrible time as staying organized. I lost a lot of my papers and had no set area for everything. It was like my tab dividers were invisible. Let me tell you, tab dividers will be your best friend when it comes to staying organized. And make sure that you have 1 tab divider per subject. That way, you have a tab divider for Math, Language Arts, Social Studies, Science, P.E., and if needed, your elective. Keep everything in its specific divider unless your teacher instructs you to put your things somewhere separate. (Like my friend said that SARGE has a folder they put everything in. Or something like that) -Be Responsible: This is a big one. As middle schoolers, the teachers are trying to teach us to be responsible now. Theyre preparing you for high school, when youre going to need even more responsibility. The expectations of you will just get bigger each year, youre going to need to start being responsible now or your grades are just going to slip for the rest of the year, or even the rest of the time you attend school. When being responsible, that includes doing your assignments with full effort. Putting forth your best effort is really important. If you dont put forth your best effort, youre not going to get good grades on quizzes, tests, projects, etc. Hopefully these will help you be successful in raising your grades. Good luck, sweetheart!
