15 But the spiritual man tries all things [he [a]examines, investigates, inquires into, questions, and discerns all things], (amp) Discernment is simply Gods wisdom for any situation. Joyce Meyer once said that the Lord spoke to her and told her she would never have discernment until she gave up reasoning. She was pointing out the the Lord was not going to deliver her from reasoning but that she had to give it up. We can become addictive to reasoning. There is nothing wrong with using our minds, God has blessed us with strong minds. But when we begin to struggle and loose our peace then we have left the place of discernment and have just entered into a struggle with ourselves. We need discernment to hear what He is saying and we need to trust and rest in Him knowing that He will give it to us which comes with His perfect peace. Stop struggling… start believing…then you can rest in Him!
