15 > Increase Our Faith - Luke 17:5-6 In this kingdom faith is a requirement for exploit. Living without faith is living an impossible life. It takes faith to successfully relate with God. Evang. Reinhard Bonke said & I quote with money we do business with men, but with faith we do business with God. What is faith? 1. Faith is believing in the existence of God, the sonship of Christ & the gift of the Holy Spirit. 2. Faith is relying on the word of God to do what it says it will do. 3. Faith is banking on the ability of the name of Jesus to produce result. 4. Faith is suppressing/suspending your natural senses & emotional tendencies in other to create room for supernatural intervention. In summary faith is believing in, belonging to, behaving & becoming like, depending on & having assurances of; it is declaring the word & having victory over the world. Critical considerations about faith: 1. Faith is a necessity - Mk 11:22, Heb. 11:6 2. Faithlessness: You can lack faith. When you take a faithless position, you will find yourself in an helpless condition. Without faith nothing will wake (2Kings 4:31), nothing would work (Matt. 17:19.) 3. Your faith can be under intense scrutiny when there is no result - Mk 9:14&18, Matt. 17:16. 4. Without faith your ministry might be under threat - e.g. Gehazi & Judas. 5. You may not really have the right understanding about faith. Lk 17:5&6. Why have faith? 1. Faith to be saved - Eph. 2:8, Lk. 17:19, Matt. 9:22 2. Faith to be healed - James 2:15, 3. Faith to do ministry 4. Faith to live the daily Christian life - Hab. 2:4, Rom. 1:17, Gal. 3:11, Heb. 10:38. This means walking with God - Gen. 5:24
