15 years ago today, I remember lying in bed with Jay Young.. I had been up coughing and throwing up most of the night before. As I get comfortable my water broke. I never saw Jay move so fast. After calling the Dr and calming Jay down we headed to the hospital. He parked the car away from the main entrance and we walked towards the door. Thats when the contractions started.. I stopped walking, bent over just a little and did Lamaze breathing..Jay looked at me and said are you having a contraction? I said yes and he practically RAN to the door dragging me with him. A couple of hours later we are in the operating room getting ready for the c-section. After about 20 minutes or so, Zachary Jay Patrick Young was born. Weighing in at 8lbs 3oz.. the nurse told Jay he could go over and stand by his son as they assessed him. After spending the allotted time in recovery I was sent back to my room to meet my son and bond with him and Jay together.. then Jay says something very funny and I laughed so hard I almost ripped my newly inserted stitches..oh how that laugh hurt!!! He looked at me in the eyes and said you know that saying that beauty is only skin deep? I said yes.. he said that statement is definitely true because when I left your side to go be with Zachary, I couldnt resist peeking over at you on the table while they were working on you...and I hate to say this babe, but your insides are UGLY.., Happy Birthday Zachary!! We WILL make sure you have an awesome day...(first birthday EVER Jay has not been here for)... Love you Little man!!! Rest in peace Jay... Zachary loves you.we all do
