16 years ago today i had just seen my husband off to the university of iowa hospitals in those days if you had to take a van to the hospital you would stay over nite well it was friday and so he was going to be gone for the week end i no sooner did this and i got the knock at the door and i opened it and a police officer was there saying my brother was trying to get a hold of me as my mother wasnt to make it that day wow two kids no car i had a friend that did everything to help me i felt like hitchhiking to minnesota to be there but my friend brought her cell phone over so i could at least say good bye to my mother she passed away before i could get on the grey hound bus march 22 1998 we had to say good bye i have missed you every day of the 16 years since you have been gone things have happened that i wish i could pick up the phone and call you but heaven has no service so i talk to you at night without no response i just want to tell you i love you and miss you very much every day rest in peace mommy we will meet again say hi to every one for me tell bill to be ready to kick my behind! love you all
