16th International Chawan Exposition(2014新加坡國國際茶碗展) For the first time in Singapore, 16th International Chawan Exposition will showcase over 400 individual ceramic creations from 144 artists across 26 different countries. This large-scale international exhibition runs from 6th to 14th September, and will include a series of exciting activities, workshops and seminars that offer rare hands-on experience and a unique glimpse into the art of making the chawan, also known as the tea bowl. The seminars are free of charge, and cover a wide range of hot topics from ground breaking ceramics techniques and technology to contemporary forms and practice. For more experienced ceramists, the challenging master classes provide a rare opportunity to help further your skills and connect you to a larger international ceramics community.
