17:10pm A Glasgow, Delaware tornado today is prompting warnings. The Glasgow, Delaware tornado today June 10, 2013 was spotted moments ago. Officials are warning that the tornado is heading to Pike Creek, Stanton, and Newport. The tornado will then move to Ashland, Hockessin, Talleyville and Arden. The National Weather Service in Mount Holly NJ moments ago issued a new tornado warning for northern New Castle County in northern Delaware. The warning will remain in place until 5:15 PM EDT. Officials indicate that a tornado was spotted moving near Glasgow, Delaware and heading northeast at 30 mph. They tell news that the system was picked up on Doppler radar. That means that the “tornado may already be on the ground or is expected to develop shortly.” NWS indicates to news that the tornado is heading to neighboring towns. It will be near “Pike Creek around 450 PM EDT, Stanton and Newport around 455 PM EDT”. Officials also tell news that tornado will pass to “Ashland and Hockessin around 500 PM EDT, Talleyville and Arden around 510 PM EDT.” Meantime a tornado watch is in place elsewhere. It “remains in effect until 1000 PM EDT Monday evening for Delaware and northeastern Maryland and southern New Jersey and southeast Pennsylvania.”
