17/7/2014 Spinksys’s Sunshine Coast Surf Report Winds : SW becoming variable about 10 – 15 knots in the early afternoon, then becoming West at 15-20 knots. Seas : 1 – 1.5 metres, decreasing below one metre around midday, then increasing to 1 – 2 metres later in the evening. Swell : SE around one metre Water Temp : 22c Air Temp : 22c Tides : Low: 5.56 am High: 11.56 am Spinkys’s Best Bet To Get Ya Froth On :- The Sth East swell is producing waves in the half to one metre range up and down the coast. The northern beaches copping alot more swell. An early low tide at 5.56 am is not doing any favours, however when the tide moves back in, we will see some nice waves on the open beach breaks from Coolum through to Sunshine Beach. A high tide at 11.56 am. Light westerlies at first ,then becoming variable at 10 – 15 knots before a W/SW change. The central beaches looking ok, with Kawana pocket and along the stretch to Currumundi good as well. The patrolled beaches all looking good with the mild surf conditions, the water temp at 22c.
