Saturday scenario: Departing from the park, will involve marching a four mile loop with the attempt to keep the troops off paved roads as much as possible. It will culminate with a 2pm battle at the Hillsman House. Sunday scenario: The goal is to re-create a post-Sailor’s Creek scenario. Troops will be bussed from Sailor’s Creek to a staging area at the High Bridge railroad bed site. Troops will then begin marching over the High Bridge railrooad bed which is currently a maintained park trail. The distance will be six miles and at a certain point, will include a small fight for the public. The travel route will be toward Farmville and portray a rearguard action. Upon reaching Farmville, there will be food vendors, water, etc., then everyone will be bussed back to Sailor’s Creek event site. For registration of Sailor’s Creek, Dick will forward weeks in advance a pass code necessary to secure rosters spots for our invited organizations only Overall discussion on event expectation ensued resulting in Dick responding that you will get your feet wet at this event, much like was done years ago.
