W Brownson and Co, ginger beer manufacturers Francis Lloyd the fried fish dealer. Maypole dairy. Charles Henry Hulbert the watch and clock maker. Henry Levys gown shop. R Quinns radio and hi-fi shop. Smiths Pianos. - note to self: I need a new piano. All gone and never replaced. RIP every last one of them. God damn you, Eccles. I both love you and hate you in equal measure but I can never forgive you for letting your video shops disappear off the high street. Ive got literally hundreds of videos I can never watch again. Towering Inferno, my Norman Wisdom collection, Carry on Camping, all the episodes of Emmerdale Farm I recorded etc etc. All piled up in my front room gathering dust. Gggrrrrrrr!
