17 year old suspected of killing her 4 months old baby A 17 year old mother of a four months old baby (girl) in Tutume was last week Friday arrested for allegedly killing her baby. According to the CID Officer in Charge in Tutume, Bigboy Nkhwanana, the suspect’s aunt reported the matter to the police after they found the corpse of the baby wrapped in a plastic that the mother claimed she had left the baby sleeping on while she went to fetch some water. “The aunt reported the matter and told the police that she suspected foul play because the baby was not ill and was too young to have choked herself with the plastic,” he said. However, he explained that the police found the evidence moved from original place when they got to the scene, something that he said complicates their investigations. Investigations into what might have really happened are continuing.
