1880 – Our Peace Posted by Steve McCracken on 25 Aug 2013 03:00 am. Good morning people who find their peace in the Prince of peace John 14:27 (NIV) Peace I leave with you; My peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. Jesus is the Prince of peace and He left His peace with us in the Person of the Holy Spirit. And He made it clear that His peace is different than the peace the world offers. Peace outside of God – worldly peace – is circumstantial. Peace for many is only found at the conclusion or resolution of difficulty. It is not so much about the presence of peace, but the absence of problems. But God tells us that we can have peace in the storm and peace that surpasses our understanding. This is different. This is better, much better. When our peace is found in the Person of God, then it is founded in a Constant; in the Unchanging One; in the Faithful One. God’s peace is available from the One Who always has it to give. We just need to look up, cast our cares upon Him and receive. So do not let your hearts be troubled today. Do not be afraid today. The Lord your God is with you, in you and for you. He is our peace.
