1950s High Tech. Dad was my pastor until I was thirteen and the Full Gospel Church in Altoona was cutting edge. There was a neon Cross on the bell tower and a Hammond organ on the platform we even had a mimeograph to print bulletins. That place rocked with hymns like, “Joy Unspeakable and Drinking at the Springs of Living Water.” Neon has been replaced with LED and digital and the Hammond with Korg and Yamaha keyboards. The one thing that remains hip is the message on the neon cross. Jesus Saves, Keeps and Satisfies. Heb 13:8 8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. NIV
