1959 Taiwan - The Face of Free China, an orientation video guide to introduce Provincial Taiwan Government by American Armed Force base in Taiwan during Taiwans 1950-1970 period of Americans Communism Defense in North-Asia frontier. It is an incredible documentary of city landscape and life of commoners of Taipei in the midst of transition from Imperial Japan into Chinese Refugee government. Americans were in fact impressed by the western street layout of Taipei, very unlike to crumbled and cobbled streets and alleyways in China. 1950-1970 台灣經歷了揮別50年的日本帝國時期, 進入了有美國撐腰的中國流亡政權在台復政時期, 美軍眼中的台灣都市景觀及人民生活的轉型! 1959 年所謂的自由中國, 或許其實是美國佬打從心中就盤算的第52州吧? 美國人眼中對台北的歐化街道格局, 感到一個反而不像中國的地方, 連美國人都這麼說了, 就看台灣人自己怎麼了!
