1974... In 1979 I began programming machines just like the ones behind him. In 1984, I could dial in to work from a display terminal at home*. In 1986, I bought my first Apple Mac for the price of a car. I do wish his predictions of being able to live and work anywhere, away from cities, had come to pass.
