1989 TOYOTA 4RUNNER LIMITED EDITION 4WHEELDRIVE PROJECT VEHICLE GREAT Hunting & Fishing vehicle. *********************************************************************************** I have a white 1989 Toyota 4-Runner 4-wheeldrive Limited Edition with auto transmission. It is the last year that the top comes off and the 1st year of the bigger V-6 motor. So its the only year with both features. Aluminum alloy wheels, air conditioning, electric windows, cloth seats/interior and many other nice options. It was in great running condition until it had a small head gasket leak and started over heating due to loss of coolant. I removed the engine and tore it down to fix the head gasket issue and decided since it was tore down that far I would just rebuild it as I really Loved this vehicle. It now has been parked on a non-op for about 5 years due to my getting Cancer and the purchasing and doing a full restoration on a 1981 CJ5 Jeep. I was going to finish the engine rebuild job and do a partial restore on this 4-Runner but have decided I just dont have the time or energy with all my other projects. I hate to see it just sit there as it has so much potential. This is a great Hunting and Fishing off road vehicle or just a daily driver. V6 gets very good mileage.
