1Kings 18:1-46 Chapter 18 Elijah is sent to meet Ahab—Obadiah saves a hundred prophets and meets Elijah—Elijah challenges the prophets of Baal to call down fire from heaven—They fail—He calls down fire, slays the prophets of Baal, and opens the heavens for rain. When you call on a God that doesnt exist he cant hear you! Theres only one True God. Please read this story - this story is my favorite. I love them all but this story continues even in my life today. I call on Him and He answers. Fortunately and unfortunately I didnt believe there was a God so I lived hopeless with out love for to long. Then I figured out something was missing when everything I did right wasnt enough. My Lord listened to my cries at the Salem Creek apartments when I said Im doing everything right but whats missing? And He said I AM you dont teach the children about GOD. Thats exactly how He spoke to me. Exact words. It was the same voice that spoke to me at club He said You dont belong here leave now and I did I left. And one other time when I was 19 my son Gilbert was two years old and my parents were yelling at him I dont even recall what he did. I was in the bedroom and he was in the kitchen with them and I heard them yelling at him and I heard that same voice say If you dont protect him hes your son I trust you with him - if you dont protect him then who will? Same voice I heard audibly three different times in my life before I received Salvation. But now since Salvation we talk all the time. Thank you Lord.
