1st Amendment to the Constitution of the United States: Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances. Citizens of this country may engage in religious practices freely, but the government may not have a relationship with, promote, or adhere to, any religion. Citizens have the right to speak freely about anything, in any manner, without limitation. The press may report, investigate, post, write, etc... about anything it pleases. Government may not regulate, limit, punish, or revoke either of these. Citizens have the right to gather, protest, petition, complain, or call out their government for any reason, peacefully.
