1st Team AWAY v Newbury & Crookham The 1st Team returned this week with our first game for over a month. It has been really difficult this year with losing a few players from the team that got us promoted back up with the big boys, but the guys that have played have always given everything to the cause. We went to Newbury & Crookham with a mixture of the old guard (Duncan) and one of our up and coming youngsters (Aaron). Playing on greens that were nowhere near as good as ours but a very pretty golf course, we managed to return to winning ways with a 4-3 victory. My sincere thanks to these players that constantly play against much lower handicap golfers than us (apart from Malcolm that is) and put everything into trying to get us off the foot of the league. Results: Malcolm Reid & Duncan Forbes Snr lost 6 down Mark Hall & Gareth Edwards won 3 up Peter Hodges & Aaron Siddell won 1 up
